Varsity Baseball Bests Joshua

The BHS Varsity baseball team rode the right arm of Christian Hallack to an 8-3 victory over the Joshua Owls Tuesday night at Elk Field.

Hallack, a Senior pitcher, tossed 7 strong innings, allowing three runs on just five hits. He struck out a season-high eight batters, and walked none. Hallack is now 6-2 on the season, and 4-1 in District 9-5A play.

The Elks offense was paced by a couple of underclassmen. Sophomore DH Jacob Amador was 2-2 with two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored, and was hit by a pitch. Freshman 2B Colton McCallum was 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Senior RF Davin White added a single in three at-bats and scored two runs.

The win puts the Elks’ District 9-5A record at 5-4; the team’s overall record is 13-11.

The squad returns to action Thursday evening against the Everman Bulldogs. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 at Everman High School.
