Varsity Baseball Outslugs Everman

The BHS Varsity baseball team had its best offensive game of the season in a 17-7 5-inning run-rule victory over the Everman Bulldogs Thursday night in Everman.

The Elks posted season highs in runs and hits, with 17 of each. Senior 3B J.T. Smith was 4-4 with a double and three runs scored. Senior 1B Parker Shaha was 3-4 with a double, three runs scored and four RBI. Senior RF Davin White contributed a 3-3 effort, with two doubles, three runs scored, three RBI, a stolen base, and a walk.

Junior P Kayden Cassidy picked up his third win of the season by pitching four innings, allowing just one earned run. He struck out three, and walked two.

With the win, the Elks improved to 14-11 on the season, and 6-4 in District 9-5A play. They will be back in action on Tuesday, April 18th, against the rival Centennial Spartans, in the last regular season home game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Elk Field. This year’s seniors will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
