Lady Elk Softball clinches Playoff Spot

The Lady Elks clinched playoffs last night with their win over Everman HS 11-2.  With this last win, the Lady Elks are on a 5 game winning streak as they head to playoffs as District 9-5A’s 3rd place team.  Playoff match ups will be revealed at the end of this.

 

The Lady Elks defeated Burleson Centennial for the first time in 4 years on April 7th in extra innings.  Zoe Miranda hit a grand slam and tacked on 6 RBI’s of her own.  Kyleigh Rich pitched a great game for 7 innings and was relieved by freshman Hayley Vasquez for the save.  Kyleigh Rich hit the game winning RBI to score Natali Wheeler.  Lauren Isbell hit in the final insurance run.  Lady Elks won with a final score of 9-7.  Great game by all!
