Lady Elks finish season with an outstanding effort vs. Cleburne

The Lady Elks played the second placed team in the district extremely well before falling to a 51-60 defeat at Cleburne.  The Lady Elks played excellent basketball.  They shared the ball very well and found the open man offensively and played great team defense by closing gaps to stop the guards from Cleburne from penetrating […]

Lady Elks fall to Granbury, Joshua and Everman in OT

The Lady Elks fall to Granbury 39-56 in a District 9-5A contest.  Leading the Elks in scoring was Carlen Payne with 11, Jailah Ivory with 9 and Caitlyn Kirkham  and Lexi Parr each with 6. The Lady Elks played their best game of the year but lost a close one to the Lady Owls 54-65. […]

Lady Elks fall to Arlington Seguin

The Lady Elks came out and played an excellent first quarter vs. the Lady Cougars of Arlington Seguin.  I thought we handled their press very well both after a make or a miss.  The Lady Elks had a poor shooting 2nd quarter and fell behind at halftime 13-37.  The Lady Elks picked it back up […]

Lady Elks fall to Cleburne 46-77

The Lady Elks came out slow and fell behind early and never really could dig themselves out of the hole they dug themselves into.  Caitlyn Kirkham led the Elks in scoring with 12 followed by 11 from Sarah Reid, 9 from Raquel Jacobo and 7 from Emily Holmes. I thought the girls played hard and […]

Lady Elks play very well but fall to the Lady Spartans

Lady Elks fall to Joshua

The Lady Elks fell to the Joshua Lady Owls on Tuesday night.  We had a slow start offensively and could not slow down a hot shooting start by a Lady Owl guard.  The Lady Elks fell behind by 20 at halftime but came back and played the Lady Owls pretty even in the second half. […]
