Burleson 64 vs Greenhill 68

Elks came up just short in their tournament opener. Lead by Logan Potts (15) on the offensive end. Burleson were monsters on the boards snagging 37 total rebounds to Greenhill’s 24. Their next match up will be against Everman.

Burleson 61 vs Everman 72

Even in the loss the Elks found their stroke behind the 3pt line, making 9-16. Once again lead by Logan Potts who went 5-5 and had 18 points. Their next match up will be Friday against Colleyville Heritage.

Burleson 54 vs Colleyville Heritage 52 OT

The Elks pulled out their first victory in ovetime fashion. Isaiah Baldwin came up clutch with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Speaking of clutch performances, Justin McMaster hit two free throws to send the game to OT. This was a much needed win after falling in the first two games of the tournament. Next game will be against Lovejoy.

Burleson 46 vs Lovejoy 37

Elks pulled out the victory despite the struggles on the offensive end. Jaylen Johnson lead the way with 21 points and a whopping 5 steals on defense. This puts them at 2-2 in the tournament, next match up will be determined by the late games in the other bracket.

Burleson 62 vs Southwest 40

Second half offensive explosion helped the push the Elks to a blowout win. They pushed the ball and limited the turnonvers, they scored 36 points in the second half. Once again they won the battle on the offensive boards grabbing 14 leading to 16 second chance points. They we lead by Jaylen Johnson with 16 points.

Overall the Elks saw good competition in this tournament, hoping they can get on a roll winning the last 3 games of the tournament. Overall the team was lead by Jaylen Johnson with 14 ppg, Isaiah Baldwin 7.6 rbp and Isaiah Nelson 7.6 rpg. The Elks next game will be home against Brewer Tuesday night.
